I developed and designed CTU© with the understanding that the majority of current stock trading courses are lacking in several areas, such as how to apply the proper trading strategy to current market conditions. Good, solid trading is about adapting to market conditions, not finding a be all to end all indicator. Markets are not that forgiving! Where the most money is lost in the markets than at any other time is when the strategy does not fit the market, much like attempting to fit a square peg in a round hole. One size fits all may be a great marketing scheme (or scam) but it won’t make you much money in the markets. Of course, if you have any trading experience you already know this to be true.
Books and videos are good educational tools but cannot replace the skills development that comes with months of live market application and detailed study. With feedback from dozens of current and veteran crosshairs traders, along with my own study in the stock trading school of hard knocks, CTU© may be just what you need and want, especially if you are beginning to see past the smoke and mirrors of traditional stock market training courses.
We study big charts (DAILY and WEEKLY), applying a high probability strategy for trending markets and a separate, albeit unique, high probability trading strategy for a consolidating market. We study how and when to use each strategy with tailored work spaces designed for each. We also study when to recognize a possible shift from one market environment to another, knowing that during this transition is when more traders lose the most money than at any other time.
What CTU© offers is exactly what I wish I had been exposed to when I began my stock trading journey…an education in how to read the markets from an unbiased perspective. I now have the opportunity to share my knowledge with you.

CTU© is not a get rich quick scheme or a trophy laden trader’s opportunity to brag.
CTU© is not about making A successful trade or about how to make a 1000% a month day trading penny stocks.
CTU© is not a day trading system.
CTU© is not about indoctrination (or how to trade a guru’s signals).
WHAT CROSSHAIRS TRADING UNIVERSITY IS:
CTU© is for the trader who wants to better learn how to trade high volume stocks on big charts (DAILY and WEEKLY) looking for multi-dollar moves over days to weeks (both bullish and bearish). The Crosshairs Strategy is designed to appeal to those who do not wish to be glued in front of their computer screen all day but want their lives outside the charts to take priority over their time within.
CTU© is about how to develop the skills necessary to become a successful trader or an even a better one. The methodology behind CTU© is simple to understand yet difficult to accept. But successful trading is all about accepting simplicity in a difficult, ever-changing market environment.
CTU© is based on the understanding that the proper application of a process (a trading strategy) will take care of the outcome (an increase in equity).
CTU© is based on focus, patience, and discipline, the three pre-requisites for building a solid trading strategy, along with the commitment to follow its principles (FPD + C).
CTU© is about learning to accept the things that cannot be controlled (the markets), while maintaining a balance over that which can be controlled (our behavior).
CTU© is about education for a lifetime; not indoctrination for today.
The CROSSHAIRS TRADING© UNIVERSITY is designed for those with at least a general knowledge of trading and charting. It will consist of the following:
- A one day (9:30 AM- 6:00 PM) KICK-OFF SEMINAR on Saturday, January 21, 2012 (Greensboro, NC) and Saturday, January 28, 2012 (Raleigh, NC). *Attendance is not required, but is strongly suggested.
- TRADING IN THE CROSSHAIRS© color manual.
- The Crosshairs Trading© TradeStation Workspace Download for both trending and consolidating markets. Includes all indicators, charts, preloaded stock symbols, and scanner capabilities. Available to those with a TS account (A TS platform account is not a requirement to follow and use the CH strategy but it does help).
- 10 weeks of instruction beginning the week of Monday, February 12, 2012 via live webinars. The twice weekly webinars are usually held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings with a few intra-day and weekend ones thrown in from time to time when market conditions deem it necessary to do so. Webinars are interactive allowing you to make comments and ask questions during the session. Each webinar is recorded and available only to CTU members for viewing at any time via VIMEO.
- Trade alert emails are forwarded along with other educational and informational notices when necessary.
- You will also have access to my daily video/emailed newsletter IN THE CROSSHAIRS for the three month training period.
