TAKE ME OUT TO THE WOODSHED

There are many stocks out there that have been leading this market higher but lately have been taken to the woodshed.  In other words, weeks and in some cases months of gains wiped in a matter of days!  In honor of baseball season I thought you might like to sing “Take Me Out to the Woodshed” to be sung to the tune of the 7th inning ballpark classic…

“Take me out to the ball game,
Take me out with the crowd.
Buy me some peanuts and Cracker Jack,
I don’t care if I never get back,
Let me root, root, root for the home team,
If they don’t win it’s a shame.
For it’s one, two, three strikes, you’re out,
At the old ball game.”

Take me out to the woodshed,

Take me out with the proud.

Buy me some puts and sell the calls,

I don’t care if you never get whole.

Let me root, root, root, for the wrong team,

If they don’t lose who’s to blame?

For its one, two, three strikes, you’re broke

At the old woodshed.

And the woodshed victims are (among many others):

Just goes to show you: the market will do what it wants to do when it wants to do it and usually when you least expect it.  Kind of like a game winning homerun in the bottom of the ninth with two outs and two strikes.  Ruins the party for some but pays the bills for the others.
